5th Step
To impart more flavor and retain more moisture in the meatloaf, you may choose to top it with a glaze. On top of the meatloaf, combine a couple of tablespoons of ketchup and a teaspoon of brown sugar, then spread the mixture out in a uniform layer.
6th Step
After the oven has been warmed, place the loaf pan or baking dish inside and bake the meatloaf for about 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. It is possible to determine if the meat is done by putting a meat thermometer in the middle; the internal temperature should reach 160 degrees Fahrenheit (71 degrees Celsius).
7th Step
After the meatloaf has been baked for the desired amount of time, remove it from the oven and allow it to rest for around five to ten minutes before slicing and serving it. This period of sitting enables the liquids to rearrange themselves, which results in a meatloaf that is both tasty and moist.
