1) Soapy water to clean the microwave
Why make it complicated when you can dilute a little soap (Marseille soap, black soap or dishwashing liquid) in a container of hot water? Use your warm, soapy water and a soft sponge to clean the internal and external surfaces of the microwave. Then make sure to rinse well and dry after cleaning. It couldn’t be easier to clean, degrease and remove encrusted dirt.
2) White vinegar
White vinegar is an excellent natural cleaner and disinfectant due to its acidity. The king of eco-friendly cleaning products will also act as a deodorizing and antibacterial agent and leave your microwave clean and refreshed. To do this, mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a bowl. Then place it in the microwave and heat it for several minutes. The steam released from the mixture will help loosen stuck-on food residue and stubborn stains. If the device is very dirty, you can leave the bowl in the closed microwave for a few more minutes for the steam to work. Finally, remove the bowl (carefully, as it may be hot) and wipe the inside of the microwave with a clean, damp cloth.
3) Lemon juice to replace vinegar
Lemon is a cleaning product in its own right and a good alternative to vinegar thanks to its natural acidity. Lemon Steam is a simple, natural way to clean and sanitize your microwave while leaving a fresh scent. To use it, simply cut the lemon into pieces or squeeze it to extract the juice. Then slide everything into a bowl and top up with water. Place bowl container in the microwave and heat it for about 3 to 5 minutes until the water begins to boil and steam forms. Then leave the bowl in the microwave for a few more minutes so the steam softens food debris and stains. After that, carefully remove the bowl and use a clean, damp microfiber cloth to gently wipe the interior walls.
