500 g pasta (e.g. penne, spaghetti or farfalle)
500 g minced meat (beef or mixed)
1 onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 can of tomato pieces (approx. 400 g)
1 can of tomato sauce (approx. 500 ml)
2 tsp Italian herbs ( dried, e.g. oregano, thyme, basil)
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil for frying
Grated cheese for sprinkling (optional)
Made this for Sunday football and it was a major hit! No leftovers!
