Also make sure the bathroom is well  ventilated to avoid moisture build-up – this helps prevent mold and bacteria from forming on silicones.

If you cannot have good natural ventilation, we recommend using a  fan  to help dry the bath after each use. The problem of black bathroom silicone is certainly prevalent in our homes. Fortunately, there are  effective solutions .

To clean bathroom silicone that has darkened over time, you can try using a solution  of water and bleach  to   remove the stain.

All you need to do is mix 1 part bleach and 4 parts water in a container. Wear  rubber gloves  beforehand to protect your hands from bleach.

Now dip a cloth or sponge into the solution and  gently scrub the silicone . Be careful not to apply too much pressure as silicone is delicate. You can now let the solution sit for a few minutes.
