Julia had been a single mom for the past five years, ever since her husband left without warning. Her world revolved around her eight-year-old son, Ethan, a bright and cheerful boy who was the light of her life. Balancing her career as a graphic designer with the demands of parenting left little time for anything else, let alone dating. After weeks of chatting online, Julia agreed to meet Thomas for coffee. He seemed kind, funny, and genuinely interested in getting to know her. Nervous but excited, she arrived at the cozy café a few minutes early, choosing a table near the window.

“I’d love that,” Julia replied. “Maybe next time, we can bring our boys along. Ethan loves the park.”

The following weekend, Julia and Ethan arrived at the park to meet Thomas and Alex. Ethan was excited to make a new friend, and Julia felt a flutter of nerves as they approached the playground where Thomas and Alex were waiting.
When Ethan and Alex spotted each other, they froze, staring wide-eyed. Julia’s heart skipped a beat. The boys looked strikingly similar, both with the same sandy brown hair, freckles, and even the same mischievous twinkle in their blue eyes. It was as if she was looking at two versions of the same child.
The boys, unbothered by the uncanny resemblance, quickly began playing together, their laughter filling the air. Julia and Thomas exchanged astonished glances.
“They look like twins,” Thomas remarked, shaking his head in disbelief.
“It’s incredible,” Julia agreed. “I’ve never seen anything like it.”
