The accumulation of food residue and grease is more than normal in the kitchen. Unfortunately, when they come into contact with air they can harden especially if not cleaned immediately. Stoves, appliances, ovens and tiles are the surfaces most likely to accumulate food and grease.
Removing encrusted grease is not easy at all. Most of the time, dedicated degreaser products are used which, although effective, are also loaded with chemicals.
Excessive use of these products poses a risk to our health and the environment. It is precisely for this reason that we offer below DIY tips for removing food residue and encrusted grease from the kitchen.
1. Baking soda
Mix baking soda with water and vinegar. Wait for the effervescent reaction to finish and use the solution as if it were a normal cleaning product.
In addition to being useful against encrusted grease, this solution also eliminates bad odors.
2. White vinegar
Mix white vinegar with a little dishwashing liquid and lukewarm water. Stir slowly to avoid generating a lot of foam.
With this solution we can clean kitchen utensils, but also remove encrusted grease from the stove. When finished, wipe with a damp cloth to remove all residue.
I love to make large quantities of this and use it all summer long.
Everyone in the family loved this! 3 days later, they are still talking about it!
