Directions:
Prepare the Cranberry Mixture: In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries start to burst and the mixture thickens, about 8-10 minutes. Once the cranberries are softened, remove from heat and let cool.
Prepare the Cream Cheese Layer: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and creamy. If you want a sweeter dip, stir in the honey at this point.
Assemble the Dip: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into a baking dish (an 8×8 dish works well). Spoon the cooled cranberry mixture on top of the cream cheese layer. Sprinkle with chopped nuts for added texture, if desired.
Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is warm and slightly golden on top.
Serve: Once baked, remove the dip from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley if you like.
