1. Prepare the dough
Preheat your oven to 200°C (fan-assisted).
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured work surface.
Using a knife or pastry wheel, cut the dough into six equal squares.
2. Prepare the filling
In a bowl, mix the cream cheese with the dill or chives.
Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Spread a tablespoon of this mixture in the center of each square of dough.
Place a piece of salmon (about 30 to 35 g) on the cheese.
3. Shape the puff pastries
Fold the four corners of each square towards the center to form a packet.
For an aesthetic result, make a few decorative cuts on the top to let the steam escape during cooking.
4. Apply the egg wash
Beat the egg in a small bowl, then use a brush to gently brush the tops of the pastries.
This is a winner every time I make it! Bring it out and guests go crazy over it
