In a salad bowl, whisk the yolks with the sugar and cornstarch. Gradually add the warm milk and vanilla. Cook over medium heat until thickened.

Remove your risen dough from the machine. Roll it out into a large rectangle 5 mm thick, on a floured work surface.

Spread half of the rectangle with pastry cream and then spread the chocolate chips.

Fold the dough in two and press the edges to seal them well.

Cut strips 4 cm wide.

Step: 7
Place the buns on a baking sheet and brush them with egg yolk. Leave to rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

Bake for 12 minutes in the oven preheated to 180°C.
