- Lentils 1 cup
- Oats 1 cup
- Olive oil 1tbsp
- Onion 1, chopped onion
- Garlic cloves 3, chopped
- Walnuts 1/2 cup, chopped
- Ground flax seeds 1tbsp
- Nutritional yeast 1 tbsp
- Salt according to taste
- Black pepper according to taste
Tomato Sauce
To prepare the tomato sauce, we need the following ingredients
- Fresh tomatoes 400 grams, chopped
- Onion 1/2, finely chopped
- Carrot 1, chopped
- Celery 1, chopped
- Vegan oil 1tbsp
- Garlic clove 1, chopped
Instruction
To make fresh and tasty vegan lentil meatballs, we will follow instructions.
- First, wash red lentils, and soak lentils in water for about fifteen minutes.
- Next, add water and brown lentils into a large pan, and cover the pan.
- Cook it for 15-20 minutes at a slow flame.
- When lentils cook, remove extra water and keep it aside.
- Add vegan oil to make lentil meatballs, take a large pan.
- Once the oil is heated at a slow flame, add chopped onions.
- Simmer it for 5 minutes over low heat or until it becomes translucent.
- After that, sauté the chopped garlic for 1 minute.
- Now, add the ground flax seeds, oats, salt, black pepper, and yeast.
- Add cooked lentils to this mixture.
- Using a wooden spatula, mix all the ingredients
