In the US, there are numerous terms used to describe public restrooms. Some call it the lavatory, some the throne, and still others just the restroom. The majority of public restrooms are denoted by a “WC” sign; however, nobody appears to understand what this signifies. Now that we know, though. For this kind of little-known yet strangely fascinating knowledge, the internet is a goldmine.
