8.After the oven has been prepared, put the baking pan inside and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is just beginning to turn golden. The cherry bars should be taken out of the oven and let to cool fully on a wire rack within the pan.
9. After the cherry bars have fully cooled, cut them into rectangles or squares according to your preferences. Serve these delicious cherry bars as a wonderful dessert, an afternoon treat, or as a special treat with a dollop of vanilla ice cream.
